How to ask good questions?

• What is a good question?

Leads to an A-ha! moment. Reveals something tangential or counter-intuitive or nuanced in relation to what is being discussed.

• Abi’s framework:

Listen to what the speaker is saying. If you detect something that is said which is not like you have read or understand it to be, ask why.

• My thoughts around asking technical questions:

What is the equivalent of the Socratic method ¹ for technical questions? Also, I generally ask “good” questions otherwise, but can’t think of an approach for technical questions. Why?
